Computing- Subject Leader MIss Salentino

Computing in our school is a skills building and exploratory subject which links to the class topics where possible. Information and Communication Technology is an integral part of life and the world we live in. Society today is increasingly dependent on computing and technology to find, explore, analyse, exchange and present information responsibly, confidently and creatively.

We aim to deliver a curriculum which will create varied opportunities in which the children will be encouraged to identify situations where the use of computing will be relevant and appropriate.

Our vision is for all children in our school to become confident users so that they can develop the skills, knowledge and understanding which enable them to use appropriate computing resources effectively as powerful tools for teaching and learning.

Computing is taught in weekly sessions in our new ICT suite, it is also becoming a more prominent tool to engage the children in the rest of the curriculum.
