Co-opted Governor Vacancy

We are looking for a new Co-opted Governor.  The role of the school governor is demanding but very rewarding and is a great way to give back to your local community.

Good schools need good governors.  Co-opted governors are appointed by the governing body. They are people who in the opinion of the governing body have the skills required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school.

 

What are Governors?

Governors are strategic leaders within schools and have a vital role to play in making sure every child gets the best possible education.  Governors meet a minimum of twice a term and include parents, teachers and support staff at the school, local authority representatives and community representatives.

The Head Teacher is accountable to the Governing Body whose role is to set the aims and objectives of the school (together with the Head Teacher) in line with national guidelines and to monitor progress.
