Lunchtime Assistant

Hours:  6.25 hours per week Monday to Friday from 12.10 to 13.25

Job/Person Summary

Are you a calm, caring and dedicated person, who enjoys working with children to ensure they are happy, healthy and safe? We are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic lunchtime supervisor to work within our existing team.

We are looking for an applicant:
Who has an understanding of the importance of play in a child's development
Who is able to support children's social and emotional development

Who shows empathy and understanding

Who enjoys being outdoors, in all kinds of weather, and who will enjoy spending time with our lovely children

Who has an understanding of children's behaviour and is able to use a range of positive behaviour management strategies

Who is aware of the importance of confidentiality when dealing with children

Duties will include

Assisting pupils with food consumption i.e. opening cartons, cutting food
Cleaning spillages and surfaces
Overseeing children's play, both inside and on the playground
Administering basic First Aid
Ensuring any issues are dealt with in a positive and thoughtful manner

Administration Assistant

Grade B - 7 hours per month

We are seeking to employ a highly organised, efficient and enthusiastic person to work in our office one Friday per month
Our school has 180 pupils and a friendly staff team. The school office is constantly busy and is crucial to the smooth running of the whole school. The role requires a full and high degree of confidentiality

Can you:

  • work in a busy, demanding environment
  • maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • work independently when required and take own initiative
  • manage your work time efficiently and effectively
  • Prioritise tasks
  • be proactive in following up projects and in solving problems
  • demonstrate excellent organisational skills, meticulous record keeping and an eye for detail
  • confidently manage and monitor budgets, administrative tasks, personal (including payroll) and premises tasks
  • act in a calm and positive manner, communicating confidently with children, staff, parents, governors, visitors, outside agencies, contractors and the general public


You will also need to:

  •  enjoy working with children
  • be able to support first aid and medical needs
  • be supportive of health and safety and be able to attend training to support this within the school
  •  have a good sense of humour
  • be intuitive and excellent at multi-tasking
  • have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP/IBC and SIMS and excellent English written skills
