Teaching Assistant Vacancy
32.5 Hours per week from 08:30-15:30
We are seeking to appoint a special person who is enthusiastic, hardworking, caring and dedicated, to join us to initially work one to one with a child with particular educational needs. The position will include lunchtime cover.
You will need to be flexible, adaptable, resourceful and patient as the role will be varied and demanding, but also very rewarding.
Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills along with a commitment to work as part of a team are essential. Whilst previous experience would be an advantage, we are looking for a person who is able to build good relationships with children. You will be need to positively manage the child’s individual needs and help them access learning.
The person we are looking for will:
- be full of enthusiasm and keen to learn

- have a sense of humour
- have high expectations
- have proven literacy and numeracy skills and be computer literate
- work well both independently and as part of a team
- relates well to both children and adults and has excellent interpersonal skills
- be able to work effectively with children to move their learning forward
- be highly organised and has good time management skills
- be flexible, proactive and resourceful
- have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- understand confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
