Welcome to Year 2

We are so proud of how well the children have settled into their new classes this term!

Please can your child bring their book bag and a named water bottle into school every day.

Our PE days are on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Reading books

The children are responsible for changing their own Love To Read books. These books are for the children to explore and enjoy, and can be changed as often as needed. 

Each Friday the children will be given a Learn to Read book, this is a book that the children will be familiar with. Each week the children will read their book twice with an adult, once independently and then once at home with parents over the weekend. This is to improve their reading fluency and avoid sounding out when it is not necessary. 

Library day is going to be a Tuesday.

Please could you make sure that all items of clothing are named.
