Recruitment and vetting

We ensure that all adults working in our school have an enhanced DBS check.  This includes volunteers who come into our school on a regular basis.  Contractors and other workers who come on our site also require a DBS check and we ask to see this upon signing in. 

Any adult who does not have a current DBS check is risk assessed and will be accompanied on site at all times.


Two members of staff and one governor are safer-recruitment trained.  Together we ensure that safeguarding is a priority when interviewing new applicants and that safer recruitment procedures are followed.
