• Easter Bonnet Parade

  We were so lucky today as we managed to hold an Easter Bonnet Parade and get back into school, just before the rain started. We adapted the circuit this morning so we could all parade and sing out the front of the school. Well done parents/carers for squashing in and helping your children prepare such amazing Easter bonnets. The children always look so surprised when they walk out the door and see so many faces waiting. Each year group sang a song and a special well done to Year R who kept singing despite the music stopping! It was lovely to have our Year 2 choir finish the parade with a rendition of 'favourite things'. We wish everyone in our lovely community a Happy Easter. 

  

• Children's Toy Swap Shop

  On Saturday 2 March we held our first Children's Toy Swap Shop. The event was aimed at children aged 10 and under from the school and the wider community, to enable them to bring a toy to swap with someone else. The event was well supported by the school community and dozens of families brought along a host of toys and games to exchange. Mrs Johnson organised the event after discussion with our Eco TED Helpers and she was delighted with how it went. She said 'It was so lovely to see the smiles on the children's faces' and we hope this will be the first of other swap shop events to follow.
